PACKING THE RIGHT OUAI

PACKING THE RIGHT OUAI

I finally got my hands on The Ouai products and I’d never been so excited to try them. The Ouai was launched in 2016 by ‘The Most Influential Hairstylist in the World’, Jen Atkin herself. Having styled the Kardashians, Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Gigi & Bella Hadid and Chrissy Teigen just to name a few….you know she’s the real deal. So when the guru herself launches her own hair care line you gotta try it out, duh? Let’s just say I was extremely pleased with the products. I tried the Repair Shampoo, Volume Conditioner and the Wave Spray. Heading to the sun for 6 weeks I was concerned about how my hair would survive in the sun and salt but these products kept my mane in tact and super lush. The wave spray was the perfect compliment to add to that already salty beachy wave and literally came with me everywhere. I may still not look like Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid but let’s just say my hair is getting there!

Sunscreen is one of the most important products to pack for a holiday. Coming from Australian Winter I hadn’t seen the sun in a while so there’s nothing worse than going full boar in to tanning when you arrive and ending up like a burnt chicken. I’m super picky when it comes to sunscreens and I like them to be easy to apply and no fuss, welcome Bondi Sands Coconut Sunscreen Lotion (SPF30). It allowed me to keep sun safe until I got that base layer tan and then I was able to reduce my reapplications as my skin adjusted. Easy application, super smooth and no fuss definitely a win for me.

I have always been a massive skincare nerd and I can thank my mum for that who has been on my case about it since the ripe old age of 12. Clinique was one of the first brands I ever tried and one that I continually revert back to. They have recently launched their Moisture Surge line and I tried the moisturiser last year and absolutely loved it so felt it was time to explore and try some more products. I tried the Moisture Surge moisturiser, All About Eyes eye cream and the Moisture Surge face spray. The moisturiser I already knew I loved and still did second time round. It gives you the perfect amount of hydration without feeling like you are wet as a result. The eye cream is richer and creamier than the moisturiser which I think is perfect for those delicate eyes. I found there was a noticeable difference when I started using this as I had gone a few weeks without an eye cream (I know shock horror) because my delivery was late and I was to stubborn to buy an interim eye cream knowing one was on the way. The face spray was the perfect holiday companion and always kept my skin perfectly hydrated; take it to the beach, out to dinner, on the plane you name it!
